This is a little short notice, for which I'm sorry, but following
up on Torak's suggestion I propose a bluesmeet in Stockholm on
Saturday. The jazz pub Stampen, in the Old Town, hosts a blues
jam 14:00-18:00.
I'm going to be there anyway, along with a fellow fencer and our
fencing master, and so will a couple of my old friends who live
there. So there's going to be a meet-/pissup-type thing in any
case, with or without afpers. With is preferrable, says I.
The fencing contingent will be away in Uppsala during the day, to
attend the national championships. The finals are scheduled for
16:00, but we're not counting on lasting that long. Not me,
anyway. Still, although we're not going to hang around much
after we've been eliminated, I don't know at what time we can get
to the pub.
Therefore, I suggest that everyone goes there as and when they
like, enjoy the music, and wait for the others to show up. Being
recognisable is a Good Thing[TM].

TIME: Saturday, 22nd April 2006, from some time in the afternoon
to some time in the evening.

I'll be wearing 5.11 Tactical clothes, either khaki, olive green or
black. I may be decorated with a drum kit at several points. I will
spend most of the time perched in the musicians' corner at the back left.
Oh, and bring an instrument.

To get to Stampen, take the tube to Gamla Stan. On leaving the station,
face Pressbyrån and turn left. Continue straight on, up the stairs, and
keep going. You'll go along an alley and cross two streets before
arriving at Stora Nygatan (where you can't go any further forwards).
Turn left and continue walking. A few blocks further on you'll see
Wirströms on your right - a rather good Irish pub with a Tuesday blues
jam, and a possible place to withdraw to after the jam - and at the end
of the next block you'll find a sign saying "Stampen". Turn the corner
and take the first door on your right.
Did I mention to bring an instrument if you play?

Well, Marco couldn't get down here until the jam had finished anyway, so
you didn't miss anything.
So I suppose this'll be the meet report... Well, I was there, played
three rather tedious tunes, and went home.
